Restoration & Performance Upgrade of a Vintage 2.4' made by Nagahiro Shinzan, Sr.
After learning the craft of shakuhachi making as an uchi-deshi ("live-in apprentice") of the renown Tamai Chikuzen,
Nagahiro Shinzan independently launched his own workshop in Osaka.
Many master shakuhachi players and teachers in Japan, including the late Living National Treasure Yamamoto Hozan, favored Shinzan instruments.
