Please note the following conditions and exceptions for FedEx delivery options:
FedEx Ground/Home Delivery: Your package will arrive anytime between the hours of 8AM and 8PM. If no one is at home to accept and sign for it, a door tag will be issued. In that case, delivery will not be attempted until the next day, nor can the package cannot be picked up by the recipient at the FedEx facility.
FedEx Overnight Express, 2-Day and 3-Day Delivery: Your package will arrive to a business anytime between the hours of 8AM and 4PM or to a residence between the hours of 8AM to 7PM. If no one is at home to accept and sign for it, same day redelivery can be arranged or the package can be picked up by the recipient at the FedEx facility.
FedEx Priority International: ETA of 3 days is typical to most countries. However, delivery to your door may vary if the package is held up at Customs.
Signature Requirement : There is an additional charge of $5.00 for packages that require a signature a the point of delivery. The is an option to waive the signature requirement so packages can be left at your doorstep. However, in this case, full responsibility for packages that are lost or damaged is borne by the recipient.
Shipping Insurance: A package can be fully insured again loss or damage. The charge for insurance is $1.50 per $100 of declared value.
FedEx guarantees Express Overnight
and 2-Day and 3-Day Express to most locations in the continental USA.
Shipments sent to remote or rural areas may take longer and are

International Customs: Rules & Protocols
All international shipments, including deliveries to Canada and Mexico, are subject to an import tax. Levying this tax is at the discretion of the country to which a package has been shipped. Customs duty is calculated and charged at the receiving end and based solely upon the declared value of the package contents. This charge is not included in the total of the quote or pro forma invoice provided prior to your order. Hygienic and health matters for both myself and my customers are considerations I have taken very seriously from the start of my flute making career. When I innovated the Precision Cast Bore technology decades ago, I consulted with the University of California — San Francisco Occupational and Environment Medicine Clinic as well as three private, professional, and paid consultants with a combined career experience of nearly150 years. With the information provided by these resources, I not only designed a safe workshop environment to protect myself and my family, but reviewed the Material Safety Data Sheets (required by law of suppliers) of each any every material and chemical used in the manufacture of my shakuhachi. This enabled me to assess potential problems and mitigate any dangers associated with the instrument prior to selling my very first flute.
HYPOALLERGENIC LACQUER & MATERIALS

COVID-19
Given the inherent and extreme dangers associated with the current Covid-19 pandemic and spike of the Delta Variant, I follow closely and comply with all protocols issued by the Center for Disease Control. CDC mitigation measures recommended are particularly pertinent for flute makers and players as the instrument is placed very closely to the mouth and nose of the respiratory system. Just prior to shipping, both the exterior and interior of each instrument sent out are swabbled with isopropyl (rubbing, not denatured) alcohol killing all bacteria or harmful viruses. Immediately thereafter, the flute is sealed in a new, unused 4-mil plastic bag to prevent any further contamination subsequent to cleansing.
